Privacy Policy

I value privacy and try to keep this blog as “clean” as possible. Here is a simple breakdown of how data is handled here.

Who I am

I’m Blaž, and this is my personal blog: https://www.inlimbo.org.

Comments

I use Remark42 for comments. It’s a privacy-focused, self-hosted commenting system.

  • When you leave a comment, the data you provide (name, email, website, and the comment itself) is stored on my server.
  • Your IP address and browser information are used briefly for spam detection.
  • If you use Gravatar, an anonymized hash of your email might be sent to them to show your profile picture.
  • You can log in via social providers (like GitHub or Google). In that case, I only get the basic info they share (like your name and avatar).

Cookies

I don’t use tracking or marketing cookies. The only cookies you’ll find here are used by the comment system to remember who you are so you don’t have to log in every time you want to say something.

Embedded Content

Sometimes I embed content from other sites (like YouTube videos or maps). These behave as if you visited those sites directly, which means they might collect data or use their own cookies. I try to keep these to a minimum.

Data Retention

Comments and their info stay here as long as the blog post exists, or until you ask me to remove them.

Your Rights

If you’ve left comments, you can ask me for a copy of the data I have, or ask me to delete it. Just reach out!

Where your data goes

I don’t sell or share your data with third parties. Comment data stays on my server, except for the spam checks mentioned above.
